We are artists who explore tactical media, relating art and social
activism. We've become interested in what
we as artists can do to complement/extend the work of scientists who
are, almost without exception, sounding a note of general alarm with
regard to the global warming. The general approach of
positivistic/statistical proof that underlies their recurring message
is proving to be fairly ineffectual, so it appears that despite the reticence of
most scientists to embrace aesthetics, a cultural phalanx is needed to
bring more passion into the public mood about the environment.
